Nasar Zamir

Director, Congruent Actuarial Limited

Founded Congruent in 2013 and leads the firm’s technical methodology, analytics product development and expert work. Author of Congruent Calculations — the firm’s proprietary market-consistent pension valuation engine, which applies the firm’s Fair Value Framework.

Court-appointed Expert in pension on divorce matters, with loss-assessment and valuation work in pension and investment matters referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Twenty years’ experience in investment banking — fixed-income trading, structuring, sales and risk management; previously Head of Interest Rates sales at a large European bank.

Roger Grenville-Jones

Director, Congruent Actuarial Limited

Thirty years’ experience as a consulting actuary; previously Head of Actuarial Function within a global insurance company. Practice concentrated on expert-witness work in financial-product complaints and regulatory mis-selling programmes — pension opt-outs, pension transfers, FSAVCs, SERPS, and mortgage endowments.

Project work for regulators estimating the prevalence of opt-outs across the market; investigations of insurance companies into the standards of their product selling and the conduct of their remedial programmes; expert witness in an Ombudsman test case heard in the High Court. Appointed by the FCA to provide expert evidentiary analysis on the risk of certain financial products in disciplinary proceedings against a regulated firm. Former university lecturer in actuarial science; ran professional ethics seminars for actuaries.
